BIOGRAPHY

Fadly Sabran (b.1983 Perak) is a Media Artist, Researcher and Lecturer at Department of Fine Art, Faculty of Art & Design, Universiti Technology MARA Perak, Malaysia. Graduated Master in Visual Art and Design, University Sains Malaysia, Penang .Bachelor (hons) Degree & Diploma in Fine Art from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam & Seri Iskandar. He is a founder and Director at Kapallorek Art Space (2014-now) and members of group SOsound Experimental Performance Art (2007-2012). Working with media art for a decade and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and Sound Performance both locally and internationally. KAPALLOREK ART SPACE

Kapallorek Art Space is an artist’s initiative found in 2014 based in Seri Iskandar, Perak, Malaysia. It is an independent space with non-profit organisation as a platform for emerging and experimental artists to exhibit, performs and sharing their creative process making to the local communities. 18th ASIAN ART BIENNALE BANGLADESH 2018

The largest fine arts festival in Asia, the “18th Asian Art Biennale Bangladesh 2018,” will begin at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh, Shilpakala Academy (BSA). The Cultural Affairs Ministry and BSA will jointly organize this exhibition, which will begin from September 1 and end on the 30th of the month, reports BSS. President Abdul Hamid is expected to inaugurate the exhibition as chief guest, and Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, will be present as special guest at the inauguration ceremony. The month-long exhibition will display both two and three-dimensional artwork like painting, print, photography, sculpture, installation art, performance art, and new media art. This year, 483 artworks by 465 artists from 68 countries will be put on display at the exhibition. ABOUT LANDSCAPE Living the Moment within the Social Trajectory in Iskandar'iah' 24 FEB - 10 MAR 2018 HOM ART TRANS About Landscape gathers 11 artists who are also lecturers coming from Sri Iskandar, Perak and the exhibition discuss about different points and views of individual artists regarding their interpretation of landscape. The idea of landscape and its pictorial ideas have shifted from tranquil or peaceful images of nature into something extravagant with aggressive types of brushwork and some even translated their works into more conceptual ideas. The exhibition will be launched on Saturday, 24 February 2018 at 8:30 PM and officiated by prominent Malaysian senior artist, Dr. Sulaiman Esa. Kuala Lumpur Experimental Film, Video and Music Festival (KLEX2017) 24 - 26 Nov 2017 Raw Art Space KL KLEX OPEN PROGRAMMES feature experimental shorts selected from the international open call in early 2017. The theme of KLEX 2017 is “Crossing Over”. This year, we received about 200 submissions from various regions around the world, including Argentina, Canada, China, Egypt, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Italy, Singapore, Spain, UK, USA and Vietnam. The film curatorial team of Chris Chong Chan Fui, Fabrizio Gilardino, Kok Siew Wai and Usen Leong, has selected 30 works to be screened in three different programmes at the festival, namely “Criss-Cross”, “Roads Re-routed” and “Colour Code Me Beautiful”.  'Crossing Over' is the journey from one point to another point. The mechanism of crossing-over can result in diversity or disintegration. The fear and risk of movement must be embraced.
