Fadly Sabran (b.1983 Perak) is a Media Artist, Researcher and Lecturer at Department of Fine Art,
Faculty of Art & Design, Universiti Technology MARA Perak, Malaysia.
Graduated Master in Visual Art and Design, University Sains Malaysia, Penang .Bachelor (hons) Degree & Diploma in Fine Art from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah
Alam & Seri Iskandar. He is a founder and Director at Kapallorek Art Space (2014-now) and members
of group SOsound Experimental Performance Art (2007-2012). Working with media
art for a decade and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and Sound
Performance both locally and internationally. His work incorporate media art
& technology including painting, video, sound, light, kinetic, interactive
and installation.
He is currently active as an organizer and curated several
experimental exhibition at Kapallorek Art Space. His collective Involved in
many collaboration projects across the region. Recently in 2017, his artwork is
one of the finalist Young Contemporaries (Bakat Muda Sezaman) at National Art
Gallery Kuala Lumpur. He also has participated in ‘Wrapping Unwrapping’
Exhibition in Bandung Indonesia and ‘Art Without Man’, The Korean Society of
Media & Arts (KOSMA), Asia Cultural Center, Gwangju South Korea. In 2016, Participate
in group exhibition TIES of TENGGARA (Southeast asian artist) at National Art
Gallery Kuala Lumpur and Project ‘SAMA-SAMA’ a collaborative South East Asian
Artists In Perak. 2014, he has participated show entitled ‘Cheritera’,
presented by Galeri Chandan at Start Art Fair, Saatchi Gallery, London. 2012,
he was joined the Southeast Asia Group Exchange Residency (SAGER) in Manila,
Philippines while his other earlier success is at the recipient of the Minor
Award for the Penang Art Open Competition, held at Penang Museum and State
Gallery in 2013 and was selcted as a finalist for Malaysia Emerging Artist
Award (MEAA) in 2011 and 2013.
